According to the Anadolu Agency,

On 12/04/2022, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's Presidential Cabinet discussed an increase in the value of the property that must be purchased for exceptional Turkish citizenship.

The Cabinet Meeting agreed to increase the value of the property to be purchased to apply for exceptional Turkish citizenship from $250, $400. Under this decision, it envisions amendments to paragraph "b" of Article 2 of Article 20, which contains provisions for the exceptional acquisition of Turkish citizenship under the Regulation on the Implementation of the Turkish citizenship Law. The amendment is expected to take effect later in the Official Gazette.
